3/10/2026: 2026 Urbandale Water Utility – Water System Improvements 2026-1 Beverly Drive New York Avenue to 92nd Street. – Notice to Bidders
Bids are due April 8th, 2026 at 10 am at 3720 86th St. Urbandale, IA 50322. The project is anticipated to be begin in the Summer of 2026 with a substantial completion date of October 31st, 2026.
Scope of Work:
Reconstruct water main along Beverly Drive between New York Avenue and 92nd street in Urbandale, IA. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment required for installing approximately 1,100 Linear Feet (LF) of 8” PVC water main with associated valves, hydrants, fittings, and service lines as outlined in the bid documents. This includes removal and replacement of sidewalk, driveways, and composite pavement; erosion control, traffic control, utility exploration, finish grading, sod placement, and other miscellaneous items described in the bid documents. All work and materials shall comply with the proposed plans, specifications, and proposed form of contract

11/21/2025: Roseland Drive Storm Sewer (Joint Project with the City of Urbandale) 2025–Ongoing
This multi-year construction project began in 2025 and includes water main replacement, storm sewer installation, street reconstruction, and sidewalk replacement in the Karen Acres neighborhood. Work areas include Roseland Drive from Karen Acres Creek (south of Ashwood Drive) to 72nd Street, Palm Drive from Roseland Drive to 72nd Street and additional improvements on Ashwood Drive, Elm Drive, and 74th Street.

11/21/2025: 65th Street and Meredith Drive Storm Sewer (Joint Project with the City of Urbandale) Starting 2026
Beginning in 2026, this multi-year project will include water main replacement, storm sewer installation, street reconstruction, and sidewalk replacement in the Plaza Gardens neighborhood.
Work areas include Meredith Drive from the creek (east of 67th Street and north of Meredith Drive) to 65th Street, 65th Street from Meredith Drive to Townsend Avenue, and additional improvements on 67th Street and 66th Street. The project will be let in early 2026.
